Sweetly Scheming.

Technically... we're not able to find out the gender of the baby in Nova Scotia. However, I am determined to be shrewd as a serpent and innocent as a dove :) I really want to find out!!! I'll be scheduled for the ultrasound in a couple of weeks, around September 20th.

So we shall see!

There are ways...I can let you in on.

Or...you may be able to see it yourself if baby flashes anything at you - as our little boy so obviously did. Flipped over during the ultrasound, and BLAH..."Hello little BOY"

They're tricky in Nova Scotia. Even if they see on your routine ultrasound, they're not allowed to tell you. We tried everything we could with Isaac, but to no avail. :) Although, if you have complications (which, hopefully you won't) and have to get a second ultrasound, and if they send you to the IWK 7th floor, they'll tell you there...they can even give you a picture. They take longer there, because they do a more thorough job. I had high blood pressure with Micah, and they sent me to the 7th floor for an ultrasound, they took about an hour looking at him and monitoring his heart rate, and they told us he was a boy (which, we would have found out anyway, because they induced me the next morning) but it was still fun to know. :) Good luck!

oooo how exciting!!!!!!
You might want to look at some ultrasound pictures on line first so you're used to looking at ultrasound. It was a little confusing for me at first...although we had a girl. So they're a little harder to see than boys. 3 lines a girl- an extra leg a boy. That's what I always think. ;-)

soo excited; can't wait to hear (if you're going to share!)
I think it's so fun once you know, because then you can plan for them.
Plus there is so much excitement already at birth, why not space the excitement out a little?!

You can always ask your doctor if he/she will tell you. That's what we did because the technicians aren't allowed to tell in Moncton. Or if you want to spend the money, you could go to Halifax to UCBaby and get a 3D ultrasound, gender determination and a DVD of your baby's ultrasound. I am so excited for you guys!

Good luck with that one. That is why I decided to stay in NB until after the big u/s (mine too is on Sept 20). If all else fails there is a private clinic (think 3D) where they will tell you the gender. You'll have to pay for it though.
