Family Distance

Sometimes family distance sucks. I really miss my brother. He is such a wonderful guy. I just miss him like crazy. I want him to move here. What makes it worse is that I really like his wife, and I miss her, too. They are a great couple, and I miss them. My heart is heavy for them today because I long to hang out with them. Yes, I'm sooky. :)

I know. It's hard to be so far aways from those who you love most! I hated the whole "leaving the nest" thing. Well...maybe I enjoyed being free to fly, but I miss so badly the unity that we used to have at home as a family...the sibling bond! I was the first to get married, so I guess I kindof started it first, but since Brandon got married, I've had an especially hard time. I miss the "brother-sister" relatiosnhip we had before we grew up. Hmmm...I'm sure it would be super cool to have a grown up brother-sister relationship with our husband and wife...if we lived close together. The distance makes it so hard! It sucks. Even with my little brother, although we live in the same town, we're both so busy it's hard to spend quality time together like we did when we both lived at home. I"m quite a sentimental soul, and I miss the 'good ol' days' of slopping mud in the sandbox together.

I just read that again...let me clarify,
"Grown up brother-sister relationship with each other and(including our husband (Morgan) and wife (Karen)as well)."

I think that this post would ring true with most people in the ministry. There are so many blessings that come from serving God full-time, but probably one of the most difficult is being away from family. Just like the rest here, I agree with your thoughts.
