A Blessed Life.

I (Natasha) am taking this opportunity to post about our current situation. Some of it will likely be redundant; but hopefully it will make more sense all compliled into one neat summary :).

Okay, here's the gist. We (meaning Lynn) accepted the position of pastor of worship arts and small groups at Immanuel Baptist Church in Truro, NS, Canada. We finished up my internship in Presque Isle, ME, moved our stuff into a very kind man's basement, celebrated our anniversary, then left for the holidays. We had a wonderful time with Lynn's family in DE over Christmas and mine over New Years. We arrived back in Truro just in time for Lynn's first day on January 2nd. Needless to say it has been a busy few weeks!

We had announced earlier that we were going to buy a house in Truro. We loved the house for a starter home and were in the middle of drawing up a formal offer with our lawyer when we felt a very strong need to pull back. We stalled for a little bit, but ultimately had to face the fact that we did not have peace about buying this house. Lynn had to make the difficult phone calls, informing those involved that we were pulling out. We found oursleves homeless once again.

Just around that time, however, we received an e-mail from the senior pastor of our new church, mentioning a possible house sitting option. Both of us immediately felt peace and a release of tension at this suggestion! Since then it has been blessing after blessing! The Lord has provided a more than perfect solution to an impossble situation (without getting into the details...) and has also used us to be that very same thing for another member of the body of Christ! Somehow, He took two impossible situations and molded them together creating an abundance of blessing, warmth, and peace.

Lynn and I will be house sitting through the spring and possibly until August. A bigger, better home awaits us on the other end :).

It is surely a blessed life to be in the hands of a loving father who promises to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever think or imagine!

Thanks for the update. I can testify that God knows the perfect timing to get a house. I was really anxious since it took from October to June, but once we found "the one" everything fell into place perfectly. You could tell it was the Lord.

I am thankful that this sitting thing is working out.

Plus, this will give you a chance to put money aside for a house. Houses are not only expensive to buy, but for first home buyers like us (you soon...)it adds up REALLY quickly!

Yes, Heather, money is spent so quickly. The Lord is teaching us that life is so much more than money, which is fleeting anyway. It's a blessing to be part of His big picture.

what a fabulous opportunity! this is the kind of thing that makes me wonder if God is a micromanager sometimes....(but not always). Yay for the provision of Erskine new living quarters!

It's good to have you back, friend. I too echo the previous comments, and am so glad that God has led and provided in such a wonderful way. A pastor this morning spoke on the centurion who had faith in Matt. and Luke and pointed out that God responds according to the amount of faith that we have. Your obedience in pulling out of an exciting situation like you had going for you has increased your faith, and God will reward you for this.

This has been a little struggle for us as we have thought numerous times about buying a house but have not felt right about it. God does consistently remind us that it is not about money and even though the world says "moving up in life" is buying your first home, this is not necessarily how He views His agenda for our lives. So we trust and obey, step by step, as you have. There will be somthing great at the end of the road- we are promised!

On the other hand, I must say your new picture is quite erotic! :-) It makes a girl blush. smile. But I love it...I love spousal love, and I love how your 'new' page demonstrates it. One of the things that the Lord has been revealing to me lately is how he loves beauty and intimacy, just like we as women do. We are created in His image, and when I see this picture of you two embracing, it reminds me of the intimacy that Christ wants to have with us as well.
You two are wonderful, and the MacPhersons miss you.

p.s. Morgan got me an iPOd for Christmas, and he put our wedding on it, so now whenever I need a Natasha or Lynn fix, I can just turn it on and go! :-)
